Welcome!
We are Numenor, a branch of the international game known as Belegarth located in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. We are a hard-hitting full contact sport based around the idea of medieval combat.
Similar to films like Lord of the Rings and A Knight's Tale, our "uniforms"are fantasy or medieval clothing and we battle using a variety of foam weaponry from swords and shields to bows and arrows. There are no spells, levels, or classes; everything is based on your physical skill.
If the idea of heavy-hitting medieval fighting appeals to you, come join us at one of our practices and we'll teach you the rules. If you are 18 and over you will need to bring a government-issued ID and sign a waiver, which can be found here or at practice. If you are either 16 or 17, you will need to bring a signed notarized waiver and a government-issued ID or your legal guardian. Note that while we typically do not allow fighters under the age of 16 to fight with us on the field, you are welcome to watch and learn from the fighters there.
